Bush Blitz is Australia's largest nature discovery program and 7 Bush Blitz expeditions have been held in Tasmania over the last decade. This is a rare opportunity to hear from Tasmanian experts working with Bush Blitz about the hundreds of new species found on the Tasmanian expeditions and see first-hand some of the fascinating species held in museum collections.

During this event, students are empowered to share their knowledge, educate others and make a difference, no matter how small, to their local area and in turn for the wider world.

Join us for:

  • Talks from botanist Miguel de Salas (Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery) and zoologists Simon Fearn and John Douglas (Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery) about Tasmania's unique biodiversity
  • Teacher talks about TeachLive experiences
  • Conversations with Traditional Owners, learning about their knowledge, culture and history
