About Earthwatch

Earthwatch, established in 1971, is a leading registered charity dedicated to environmental sustainability and scientific research. Earthwatch pioneers collaboration between scientists, volunteers and communities to drive meaningful behaviour change, with citizen science being the global biodiversity framework at its core.

What We Do

We bring people, science and nature together to create transformational experiences that create long term positive behaviour change towards the environment.

In just 50 years, we have lost over half of our wildlife and we have as little as 12 years to slow the climate crisis. Collaboration between governments, policy-makers, businesses, educators, students, and scientists is essential if we are to tackle these complex challenges. This is where Earthwatch comes in.

For half a century, Earthwatch has empowered people to take action in key areas where we can have the most impact. We bring people, science and nature together to create transformational experiences that create long term positive behaviour change towards the environment.
