Danielle Thuringer

Education Manager

Danielle grew up in a rural farming community where she developed a love for the land, animals and natural environment from a young age. She has always had a natural curiosity about the world, sense of adventure and propensity for exploring.

Danielle has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a post-graduate certificate in Secondary Science Education, is a Wilderness First Responder and International Baccalaureate certified teacher. She comes to Earthwatch with years of science-classroom teaching experience in the United States and Vietnam and has also worked as a zoo educator.  In addition, Danielle has experience with coordinating life changing student travel opportunities, with an emphasis on science, service, leadership and culture. 

Danielle is passionate about student-driven learning, inquiry-based learning and learning in nature. She also loves dogs.
