Position: Event Content Creator   
Department: Education 
Reporting to: Head of Education 

The Event Content Creator position is responsible for editing and creating event content for Earthwatch Australia’s Education programs -Swarovski Waterschool Australia, Distinctive Areas and Landscapes, Student Challenge and Bush Blitz Kids Teaching Kids.  

The Earthwatch education program suite exist to promote environmental literacy, positive wellbeing and climate resilience in young people. Our events raise awareness and drive action on local and global environmental issues by bringing school communities together in nature to solve common challenges and help our young generation of leaders take collective responsibility for their future.  

 

Responsibilities:

The Event Content creator will work remotely to produce event collateral, edit education resources and create promotional material for upcoming events. 

  • Editing a series of short instructional videos for schools using Canva or an equivalent graphic design software 

  • Editing photos taken from previous events to use for marketing purposes 

  • Post event filing of photos, videos – sorting through footage

  • Creating a video editing shot list with editing brief for a 3- minute promotional video

  • Creating intro, closing slides for promotional videos 

  • Graphic design for event collateral such as event location maps, social media cards, run-sheets and name tags 

Skills:

  • Proficient in photo editing and has access to photo editing software 

  • Proficient in video editing and has access to video editing software 

  • Proficient in using Canva and Adobe InDesign
