About Us People Scientists Caitlin Pollack Caitlin is an Education Ecologist and co-Principal Investigator Earthwatch Australia “Ecosystems of the Murray River and Mallee” at Calperum Station, Renmark. Caitlin studied a Bachelor of Conservation and Wildlife Biology at Latrobe University. During studies she also worked as a ranger for Parks Victoria for the summer seasons and a tour guide on Kangaroo Island. Caitlin started at Calperum station in 2015 as a Field Ecologist and has moved her way into the Education Ecologist position. These days she spends much of her time running engagement programs with the community including teaching vocational education level courses in conservation and ecosystem management and contributing to the scientific activities undertaken at the station. A talented and passionate educator, Caitlin develops and delivers Calperum Connect Education programs. Caitlin is also a qualified vocational trainer, and currently delivering Cert III in Conservation and Land Management to students at Calperum Station. Her efforts have been recognised with several awards including Vocational Trainee of the Year, and was a finalist in the SA Young Achievers Awards in 2019.
